Our Story

Plexus Installations, Inc. dba Plexus Group (Plexus) is a Certified Woman Owned Small Business.  Since its’ inception in 1995, this Maryland Corporation has successfully developed a portfolio of electrical systems, telecommunications, network engineering, operations and installation, network system integration and information technology support/consulting services.

Our ability to present innovative solutions, deliver best-in-class services and manage complex projects has resulted in several City/State/Federal Governments awarding multi-year contracts and Blanket Purchase Agreements to the company.  Plexus has supported Information Technology infrastructure and equipment upgrades, installations and maintenance, for numerous school systems and County Governments throughout the region; to include Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Baltimore County Public Schools, Baltimore City Public Schools, Frederick County Publics Schools, Harford County Board of Education, and Prince George’s County Public Schools.  Our County/Municipal Government support includes Prince George’s County, Carroll County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Montgomery County. 

Plexus has also offered Network Infrastructure Installation, Electrical Systems support, and Value Added Engineering to leading Systems Integrators such as Verizon, Raytheon, Siemens, ARINC, and Xerox.  Supporting the City of Rockville, Montgomery County Maryland, and Baltimore County Maryland, Plexus deploys crews installing roadside radar and red light cameras for the Automated Traffic Enforcement Collection and Violation Systems contracts with Xerox State & Local.  Plexus holds multiple State of Maryland Master Contracts including Consulting and Technical Services II (CATS II); Hardware and Related Services; and Cable and Wiring Material & Services Outside Plant.  

Our Federal division provides electrical, data, welding and support trades to the US Navy, major projects including ship and shore based installations for Naval Sea Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Command, as well as US Marine Corps Base Quantico where we recently ran electrical conduit, cable, fiber, and core drill penetrations between multiple floors.

Plexus continues presenting our clients with complete Electrical solutions tailored to their specific requirements, as well as for Information Technology and Telecommunications Systems.  Our attention to detail drives the success of every deployment, consultation, and service.  In over 18 years of operation, Plexus has never failed to complete any projects or faced any type of criminal or civil charges, investigations or plea agreements. We stay abreast of and compliant with all Federal, State and local laws, regulations, ordinances, policies, standards and guidelines affecting the Information Technology industry.

Headquartered in Baltimore, Plexus also has operations in Chesapeake, Virginia, as well as a presence in Charleston, SC and Pearl Harbor, HI to primarily support Military Fleet and Department of Defense customers.  Co-located with corporate resources, Baltimore Operations has established reputations for providing superb customer service, quality management, and experienced personnel to each project.
